I originally did two carves for "A Midsummer Nights Dream". I settled on my other carve for the swap but then decided to make a carve with this one too. Sometimes it's fun to do a Just Because card.

Fawkes The Wild Pheonix (LTC #20)

My last name is Potter so I can never resist a Harry Potter swap. In retrospect I really wish I had set fire to part of this card. At the time I was working on another card that I was playing with fire on so I let this one be. But what is a phoenix without fire.....

I had a stillborn in November of 2008. Mrwnndl my dear friend carved an image of her for me to keep forever. This stamp is near and dear to my heart. Mrwndl no longer does LTC's. I hope some of you were lucky enough to be on the receiving end of his talents. He is an amazing carver and an even more amazing person. He truly touched my heart. I have another carve that he did for me that is planted as a WOM in Cheyenne, Wyoming. If you ever make it that way I would be honored to share her with you.

Made for a postal ring as an extra surprise...

Wanted: Butch Cassidy (LTC # 23) July 2009

Made for a pressed penny LTC swap. This was a ton of fun. We went and visited Wyoming Territorial Prison to get the pennies. It was a ton of fun to visit the old jail cells and learn all of the history. Then as a bonus I totally got to play with fire to make the card. I hated absolutely hated the carve...but this was one of those times that a little extra ingenuity and creativity totally made the carve work. I thought it looked like a terrible sketch...so why not make it into a wanted poster. It made the bad carve look intentional....(until I shared the secret)....  :)

 70's Chic (LTC # 24)

This was a just because carve and card. I liked the image and had some paper I was dying to try. I didn't ad any color at all to this card. It was a striped piece of clear vellum I attached over the top that was just perfect for the image!

 Seattle Bound And Her Aligator (LTC # 25)

The first signature stamp I ever carved for myself. It was choppy and hand drawn but it has a special place in my heart. I've since dropped the Alligator from my trail name because he feels he is old enough for his own stamp now. But I still carry a version of this stamp as my signature. 

 Ex Libris :The Reader

Made for an Ex Libris Swap. I hated the carve so this was when I started really playing with layering paper. Nowadays I would probably never show anyone a carve that I hated as much as I did this one. But if it weren't for this carve I may have never played with papers. Something that I still do till this day.

 Calaveras De Azucar (LTC #27)

Made for a day of the dead swap. I carved two separate images. The skull and the words. It was an incredibly fun carve and it taught me not to be afraid of lettering. I eventually got to share this carve with the blind ones in case you are lucky enough to ever get to look for their plants.

 Ex Libris : Victorian Rose

I made two cards for the swap because I was so unhappy with my carves. I also played around with staining paper for these two cards. 

Spoiler: The signature stamp I now use for my trail name... It was originally carved for me by Campfire Lady But It Got lost in my move back to Alaska so I recarved it. Its by far my favorite stamp. I love my little Alligator ;-*!!!
