Snowgoose Restaurant and Sleeping Lady Brewery (LTC 47)
This was carved for a microbrew swap. I was living in Wyoming at the time but I had just been home to Alaska for a visit and found a carve by Turkey Feathers. I liked it so much I went to the restaurant and had a brew. Sleeping Lady has always been my favorite mountain in Anchorage (it comes equipped with an old native tale) I had to join the swap just so I could do this carve. Unfortunately life happened and I never finished the cards so no one ever got to own this card. I did save the materials to make it....so one day in my spare time....maybe this one will be available.

LTC's 48, 57, 52 & 55
These cards were all made for a postal ring entitled "Make an LTC from my postal" . All in all 16 different cards were made from 4 different stamps. These ones were the ones I made. I loved the end result seeing what different people would do with the same image. However, I would never do this again! It was incredibly challenging for me. Although I was working with excellent carves I learned that I have a process to making my cards and this was not conducive to it. I see an image and then a card in my head and that's what makes me decide to carve it. When I'm handed an image that I didn't pick out I don't have a card in my head and it's much much harder for me to create one. It was a great learning experience for me and definitely pushed me to the edge. Not only did I leave my comfort zone for this one...but I had to send the cards out whether I liked them or not. Normally if I can't get an image to work the way I want I can just scrap it.

Wild Things Swap January 2010 |
I'll Eat You Up, I Love You So (LTC # 49)
I came across this image when browsing deviant art and was instantly in love. When the Wild Things Swap was listed I quickly jumped on board. This was a hand painted card and took hours, but it's one of my favorites of all time.

Micro Card Swap 1.25 by 1.75 in. |
Sweet Seraphim (LTC #50)
Made for a micro swap. Hard to believe I carved this before I found out you could make a 0 gouge. This was a fabulously fun swap and challenge. I mounted all of them in a frame and it made a beautiful piece of art!

Orchids Swap |
Rapunzel Orchid (LTC #51)
Orchids are my favorite flower. I learned there are about a million different types in all colors. Some even that smell like chocolate and grape soda. I also learned I cannot for the life of me carve one. But I sent the card out anyways because I wanted to receive everyone else's.

Clashing Papers Swap |
Creativity (LTC # 54)
The idea was to pick three pieces of paper that did not mesh well at all and tie them together as only an LTC'er can do. I carved a quote and then a swirl stamp so that I could stamp all the colors from the papers behind the quote. For something that was supposed to clash I actually ended up really liking this card and the challenge of making it all come together.

Congatulations Miss Chievousness Swap |
Fairytales Can Come True (LTC # 56) February 2010
This card was made for a swap I held in honor of Miss Chievousness being pregnant with her beautiful daughter Reese. For those of you that don't know Miss C and I have been Best Friends for over 20 years. We've both had our challenges when it comes to children and we live moons apart. I wanted to celebrate her amazing news!
